As I said it was you that tried to slip "potentially Human" into the equation. A new and unique Human life comes into existence at conception. ACTUALLY NOT POTENTIALLY! You think it's OK to kill Human beings as long as you do it before they get their entire body out of the womb and you justify it by falsely claiming that killing a fetus was not killing an actual human, but only cells that are "potentially Human" "At one time the sperm and the egg were only POTENTIAL. They had to COME INTO EXISTENCE. That chain of becoming goes back to the Big Bang and probably further." Now you are changing the argument to try to save face but I include the original post so there will be no doubt. According to you they "were" potentially human before conception and they "are" (post conception) still only potentially Human. You are wrong Biologically, scientifically and morally. The only way you seem to be able to support your position is through lies and misrepresenting your opponents. Have a nice day. Sane and rational people do not value or devalue one another because they think they may or may not have a "soul" based on whether or what church they attend. Rational people value one another for their humanity. Children have hopes and dreams. They have character and personality. They have thoughts, opinions, and feelings. And, of course, they add value to their group--the family and the community and the human species. Fertilized eggs have none of these things and they are not lovable for any characteristics whatsoever. They were just as potentially human when they were the wind and the rain and the breakfasts that turned into eggs and sperm as they are potentially human AS egg and sperm. They are just further along the path as a fertilized egg. Having human "building blocks" does not make a human being. Everything in the universe is a human "building block" just as they are building blocks for aardvarks and oak trees.
