So what exactly is 1400 miles away? Some city you find exciting?

I thought all trusts were revocable until the person who created them dies. And then there is the question of whether you'd rather live with this woman who will inherit two million dollars when you die, or divorce her and give her half now, but then have freedom and a really nice life until that happens. Half of two million dollars is still plenty of money to indulge yourself with.

Have you thought of marriage counseling? Maybe she is as sad and miserable as you are, and some amicable resolution could be worked out somehow. Even when it doesn't save marriages, it is a really helpful tool to separate without destroying each other. You must have been in love with each other at some point.
