Then they compare their high schools to ours - where all kids attend - and act smug.

Ours doesn't cut you off. The others do. We would never allow a system here that cut kids off.

John, The German system is aimed to deny college to those that the government decides are not worthy. In many cases, the students that have been pushed aside, have ended up with the intelligence to been college trained, but the "Big Brother" control of the German government placed them lower than they should have been. Even with all it's faults, the American system is better than that of the Germans.
