Have you found those yet? Of course after my raving about them, you probably won't like them at all! I am sure we like different things, since the Hemp Plus granola was a nice idea I wanted to support, but it didn't go over very well with anyone here. I had fun this morning at the Grocery Outlet store. For recreational shopping, I like to find bargains. They had organic plain, vanilla and chocolate organic soy milk, those cartons that you don't have to store in the refrigerator, for 99 cents each. Costco is slightly cheaper, but in my area they only carry vanilla. Also the Costco here has stopped carrying vegan burger patties of any kind, so I was lucky to find 12 packages of Lightlife Smart Menu soy burgers that I have crammed into the freezer. Soon it will be too hot to cook, so I'm hoping someone will barbecue them while I swing in the hammock. And I got eight bottles of Avalon organic deodorant, half lavender and half wild yam, so everyone will smell very nice in all that summer heat. I saved three dollars each on the deodorants and two dollars each on the burgers, so now if the pandemic comes early we will survive. Unfortunately all the wine I got for it has been consumed, so we will all just have to breathe deeply and listen to music if we are stressed out. Speaking of soy burgers, I used to like Boca, but one night I made soy burger hand pies from one of Linda McCartney's cookbooks. It called for crumbled soy burgers (in a creamy sauce with onions, wrapped in pie dough). I used Boca, and the only thing we could taste in the pies was that smoke flavoring Boca uses. And now I can't eat them anymore. Linda McCartney had a very good heart, but she wasn't much better at vegetarian cooking than she was at singing in Paul's band. The raspberry lambic you like is almost seven dollars for a very small bottle at Trader Joe's. By far the most expensive beer-like product I've ever seen, and I like expensive beers. Is it really that good? It must be like the nectar of the gods! Speaking of really good beer, has anyone had Siletz spruce ale? A small Oregon label, named after the Siletz Indian tribe. It's like getting slightly silly drinking a pine tree. Very refreshing!
