The problem now is what are we going to do with the 12-20 million illegals we now have in the country? Even if you issue them a work permit most of them won't sign up because they will see that as getting themselves kicked out. You close and secure the border, then you evict them. When they realize the US means business, many will leave of their own accord. Most are not bad people............they are simply taking advantage of an opportunity. When that opportunity no longer exists, they will not longer take advantage of it. Its really that simple.
