I think there is a real danger with labeling yourself or anyone else with political labels. For example, what does progressive actually mean? Does being progressive include supporting globalization or late term abortions? If it does, I'm definitely not progressive at all. I prefer to take people's political philosophies one subject at a time. I think most of us are a really mixed bag of belief systems, not easily categorized. And I also believe that it is important for people to examine their beliefs, not just adapt whatever entire political philosophy comes closest.
