Thanks so much for the gosling photos. They are adorable as they grow up? I really enjoyed looking at them.

There is a little pond on our neighbor's property, and a pair of young ducks have been hanging out there. The pond is only about five feet across, probably not the best place for a family of ducks, but everyone in the neighborhood is excited that they might make that their home and have baby ducklings. I am not sure it is a good idea, because everyone has lots of dogs and cats around here.

And today as I was winding through the hills coming home, a male duck was right in the middle of the road, standing on the yellow line. He didn't know anything about cars. It took him about five minutes to get moving again to the other side. Then his mate slowly followed him. I'm glad I wasn't in a hurry!
