Hitler declared war on the US immediately after Pearl Harbor attack, at the request of Japan. December 11, 1941.

Actually, Hitler OFFERED to declare war on the US if the Japanese attacked us, several months before Pearl Harbor. They didn't even have to ask. Really stupid, but he considered Americans a mongrel race of Jews and blacks, who couldn't possibly put up a good fight against his Aryan war machine.

The question was rhetorical assuming England and France had not declared war over Poland.

Would hilter be just as stupid and declare war on the USA?

Did you conclude somehow that I suggested Japan had not attacked and declared war on America?

Americans were a majority of isolationist before Pearl Harbor. That fact is not relavent to the analysis of Mr Bucannan.

But as I said.

By the numbers, joe stalin was the professonal exterminator, hitler by comparison was an amatuer. Evil mental cases have had all number of reasons to exterminate innocent humans for race, or creed or whatever. Buchanan may be an unreconstructed anti-semite. But the analysis strictly by the numbers of murdered for whatever reason by evil doers in WWII and afterwards does not prove that proffer. How many tens of millions died after WW II because of joe.

I did not read Revisionist history, I read an alternative perspective on looking at the consequences of actions taken.

If by We you mean the USA, well Germany declared war on us. What would have occured if France and England had not given hitler the reason for taking all the gold and riches and industrial logistics of Western Europe to fund his war efforts, I don't know. Would that have impacted his ability to invade Russia more or less effectively?

Japs would have been pissed at us anyway. Would hilter be just as stupid and declare war on the USA?
