I think it would have been naive not to expect rioting and death to follow the publication of the Koran-flushing story. For that reason, it should have been checked far more extensively than it obviously was. Nonetheless, if it were to have deemed true, there is no reason why Newsweek should have engaged in self-censoring.

And, yes, it is insane for death and riots to follow. But what else is new? Some Moslems are overheated and excitable. Some are murderous bastards. Some are peaceful. Adherents to Islam are a strange brew.
