You're hopeless. The Iraq situation is turning out better than I had imagined. I only hope that Iran will transform relatively peacefully into a more open society. It's possible now. We have a vital national interest in the Middle East, unlike Vietnam, where I was strongly opposed to our involvement. Not only isn't oil paying for anything, they're gouging us worse than ever. Would banging your head with a 2x4 knock some sense into you or are you incurably dense? If you think you're being gouged on oil products now, just wait a year or two...
