"That was then, this is now. Israel is a done deal; it is not going away. The Palestinians can whine forever, or they can make a deal and build their own state. So far, they have prefered to whine. And blow innocent people up."

not to mention losing land along the way and then always going back to the prior solution offered that they had originally rejected after their failed wars or intifadas. You think any pals rue the day that they turned down partition in 1948? But instead these rocket scientists continue to whine about their plight fueled by the the arab states who stay in power by demonizing and scapegoating Israel along with the liberal west types like Marcos who said "yesterday..... was to palestinians the day of al-Nakba, commemmorat..ing ....the anniversary of the disaster that befell them in 1948 ". And thus you come up with the true reasons for this horror show that continues in the middle east--stupidity, whining, scapegoating and feel good western self hate which looks toward israel as the last colonialist who must pay the price for the all the sins of the folks who were the colonialists and who drove the Jews out of europe in the first place.

Well, if "Jews" can return after 4000 years of whining, then why not the Pals? May be they will do what you guys did. Scatter around the world and keep whining and waiting for a day that they can do something about it. Why should they legitimize their losses? Victims often learn from their oppressors. May be the Pals do the same. In the mean time, they will do their best to prevent Israel enjoy its gains. It's not as good as having it back, but perhaps the next best thing.

That is collective punishment of civilians you're supporting, ethnic cleansing of natives by foreign invaders, theft and murder of people who never hurt anybody, whose only 'crime' was to flee from those who sought to rob and kill them, and many of them didn't even run away, they stayed and were shot down or robbed by the 'Absentee Property Law'

Not for the first time you're supporting this, of course ... same old, same old ...

Palestinians didn't start the war, the war was started in the 1917-20 period, by zionists, that is clear when you look at the whole picture ... as for 1948 hostilities, they weren't started by palestinians either, there were a number of massacres of natives well before any of the events commonly used as excuses happened .... Deir Yassin for example, was wiped out on Vimy Day, 9 April 1948 ... and while it contributed hugely to native fear of zionists, it was by no means the first, in fact Haganah and the Stern gang and/or others had committed many a murder and burning before that, they had stepped it up in late 1947, if memory serves .... it's all bullshit Nadine, everything you've ever put out here on this issue is bullshit
