Delay is a big corrupt crook. As leader of congress he has set the sort of example a mafia boss would. of course, the other rightwing congressman are trying to protect Delay. Why? Not because they think he's innocent, or because they even like him, but because they took plenty of his dirty money themselves and they will go down if he does. Keep in mind, this case is also happening in Texas where Ronnie Earle has indicted three Delay financiers for blatantly disobeying campaign finance laws there in order to help elect some of these very same rightwing congressman cronies. Any attempt to point fingers at democrats will blow up in the rightwing's face. They are the muich more guilty ones and if they want to get into a rock-throwing contest it's important they realize they are the onle ones in a house of glass.
