Do you think the Jewish Israelis would accept being the political minority they would become in this scheme, presuming democracy? It depends on how fair and democratic such a hypothetical government would be. Jews accept being a political minority in the US, don't they? The question is whether those Jews living on the West Bank would be welcomed as minority citizens within a Palestinian state, as Israeli Arabs are in Israel. Either way, encouraging nationalism based upon ethnicity and religious beliefs is definitely a recipe for eventual social turmoil. Hawk
