The not getting around to reading it theory would work if they hadn't challenged another point.

Maybe, though, they were just used to hearing about the religious blasphemy techniques and didn't think it was a big deal, since the Quran-in-the-toilet charges had been in other papers already, and complained about by Human Rights Watch and other groups.

Maybe they only challenged the item they thought wasn't true. That's a possibility. We don't know yet.
