Karl Rove: Nicknames Karl Rove (whom The Economist once dubbed "de facto head of the Republican National Committee, vetter-in-chief of Republican candidates, linkman between the White House and the conservative movement, and a one-man ideas factory") became close to the Bushes in the mid-1970s, when he moved to Texas to advise George Bush Sr. on strategic initiatives. Having revitalized the Texan Republicans, Rove then ran George W. Bush's successful campaigns for the governorship and masterminded his 2000 presidential election campaign. Indeed, Bush Jr. thought so highly of the wily schemer that he bestowed upon him several nicknames. Chief among them? "Boy Genius" and... "Turdblossom". The self-loathing part comes in the form of Mayor West who rails against gays, votes against gays while being gay and a gay pedophile at that. Rove, Mehlman, the Cheneys, Bush, etc. are gay, like gays, want to be gays, wish everyone was gay but actively and aggressively support actions that hurt gays. That is self-loathing. It's not just gays, it works for many other individuals as well. Lots of people enjoying being Americans but they still vote and aggressively support people and actions that will prevent them from enjoying being an American in the future. Stupidity? Ignorance? Brain-deadness? Self-Loathing? It's probably a mix.
