NewsWeek did not cause the riot or the deaths. The riot and deaths were caused by the rioters.

What newsweek did was terrible and retraction is the right course. Next step should be to try to undo further damage.

HOWEVER, can pentagon or admin DENY convincingly and truthfully that this DID NOT happen ? Just curious - have they done that yet. I haven't been following news very closely.
