holy moly - 298 messages since i left. its going to take me ages to catch up!! hi everyone. i'm still up up here. have been really really busy and i've got two days left to finish up my list. i think i'm going to make it <g>. the floor is laid, and stained and polyurethaned - three coats and looks great. the kitchen and living room have been painted - the windows we bought last year have been installed and the inside frames painted - several coats. and my neighbour ray has started on the veranda/carport and will finish it after i've left on thursday. its going to look great. he's fantastic - builds movie sets in vancouver. i've really missed you all. my computer access has been severely curtailed this trip - the internet cafe is now on dial up and busy and i always miss the library days (its not open every day). haven't been to the beach or anything this trip - just work work work and more work. harold checked a leak in the bathroom sink and while doing so, realized the the bottom of the sink has rusted out (galldarn military housing!!) and literally disintegrated. so he tore the sink and cabinet out and we'll bring a pedistal sink up with us to replace it when we move. that was the only surprise. he left last wednesday - with a very long face. i'm sitting in my neighbour's house using her computer (she's a sweetheart) but can't stay long. i haven't seen a newspaper or watched tv or listened to the news since i've been up here. how great is that?? later ..... -hoserini
