Ok let’s talk about the truth in Iraq. The truth is that we have freed million of people from tyranny. We have created hope and opportunity for tens of millions of people in the Middle East. Libya suddenly and for no reason (other than our actions in the Middle East) gave up their nuclear program (which happened to be more advanced than we suspected). Syria suddenly and for no reason (other than our actions in the Middle East) withdrew their military from Lebanon. Egypt suddenly and for no reason (other than our actions in the Middle East) has moved towards greater representative government. Mubarek of Egypt suddenly and for no reason (other than our actions in the Middle East) has back benched his efforts to create a Mubarek dynasty. Palestinians suddenly and for no reason (other than our actions in the Middle East) have reduced their terrorism of Israel, and is making some movement towards a representative government.

The reality is that the liberation of Iraq is one of the most humane actions taken in behalf of America's interests in history. It is the realization of Wilsonian ideals. Despite the efforts of blame America firsters like Michael Isikoff, we are winning the propaganda war. It is sad to see people like him sacrifice themselves on the alter of hatred of America.

The destruction of this country is happening in Iraq.

The US and coalition forces are fighting with the new Iraqi civil defense forces to prevent the destruction of the country.

Have you forgotten that it is a bunch of violent, fanatical, dictatorial thugs that commit the car bombings, plant the roadside bombs, and kill the normal Iraqis that are trying to get along with their lives and build a modern, relatively normal society?

Ted, at this point, it's the bad guys that are trying to destroy Iraq. We are on the side that is trying to rebuild.
