With the rabid, foaming-at-the-mouth murderous Moslems going berserk, killing people and threatening death to all sorts, because somebody supposedly chucked a book down a dunny, it seems that the book-flusher and Newsweek have done us all a favour by showing us just how violently insane the Islamic Jihadis are [as if it wasn't already obvious].

The USA should do the equivalent and make it a death penalty for burning the USA flag and demand all those burning a flag to be handed over to the USA for stoning to the death and burning at the stake, and dismemberment followed by being dragged around town behind an SUV, which is about what Moslems do when they get hold of Jews or Americans [or anybody else who is an infidel].

Any country not handing over the flag-burners would be nuked until they did.

It's not just Moslems who can take offence at things. The rest of us tend to be more circumspect and don't get all murderous because some other group doesn't like our cultural norms, makes fun of them, denigrates them and even insults them?

Let's hope the USA is so pathetic as to introduce the death penalty for insulting the flag, but I could understand it if they do, by way of tit for tat.

Putting NYTimes Op-Ed page behind paid subscription won't affect me much - the only one I read is Brooks and I won't miss him bad enough to pay for him.
