Nah. The Scots like to talk about the Scots, and then they like to bash the brits. There was election coverage (remember we were there during the election)- but quite a lot of that was making just fun of America- not actual news (although the voting fraud stuff played big over there, as did the trumped up stuff on Iraq that justified the war- but a lot of that was aimed at Tony). At the time we were there the Holyrood parliament was opening- and that was HUGE. Plus there had been enormous cost over runs- and that was always on the news. The education system was changing, and they were dealing with the the big challenge- trying to get UK residents to be thinner and eat better, so I can't say I was overwhelmed with news of America. I found the whelming to be just about right.
