Unbelievably, the US has TOO FEW TROOPS to patrol those borders even while Shrub and Rummy jump up and down and blame border crossings on the other countries.

TOO FEW TROOPS. I've heard that twice this week alone and from the corporate media no less.

Too few troops on the borders
Too few troops bogged down in Fallujah and Baghdad and Mosul to help in the Syrian border raids.

And, still, our superpower troops are welding their own steel plates to try to save their own lives. It's so incredibly sad.

I also heard, although his may be from last year, that some troops didn't even have the plates. They were using plywood strapped to their vehicles. Still others spray painted cardboard gray to mimic steel plates hoping insurgents would pick an easier target.

This is some of the saddest, most pathetic, most embarrassing of things about this war.
