Ultimate Notebooks

A little over 5lbs
All offer full 64-bit security and performance
Depending on model and options selected:
Up to 2GB Ram
Up to 15.4" WUXGA and UXGA Screens
Up to Radeon X600 graphics with 128mb video ram
Wireless Lan, dual layer DVD burner, etc.
Up to 4.5hrs Battery life (it's going to be less if configured with UXGA or WUXGA and the top video cards instead of the integrated graphics option)

Depending on model, these systems use the 27w or 35w 64-bit Turion CPU.
They support Windows Secure Kernel (secure kernel is available only in X64 Pro / X64 Server).

By comparison, the Pentium M / Centrino is an entry level platform not suitable for applications where either security or performance is a consideration.

Amy, RE: Business model question: how does the cellular design platform cost compare to the wifi design platform?

Hasn't any firm been chartered to do this yet for consumer world? The industry really needs a strong consumer VoIP handset player with further consumer reach that's not afraid of wifi/wimax.

That would seem to dovetail right into the Nextel/Cisco/Flarion combination, wouldn't it?
