Responsible lending when many of us in appreciating bubble markets get literally attacked by waves of phone calls, faxes, mailings, emails and not to mention advertisements everywhere you look including half the billboards on the road to continue taking additional cash out for any purpose. I wonder if the hounding is much more subdued in the non bubbily heartland?

Given their huge profit margins, wouldn't the builders keep building, lowering price and selling, undercutting speculators, until all profitability is gone?

If so, will there not be a swift down draft in house prices once the prices stop raising?
