It can be reasonably argued that the US was too passive in response to the initial looting in Iraq, but the situation was sort of complex.

If Iraq had not been destroyed, there would be no need for the U.S. to rebuild it. The U.S. may have even been asked to step aside. The looting was no accident, although it may have been unnecessary had the actual fighting been more destructive.


Only now, after two years, do they make a half hearted apology. Its pathetic.
