Steven The Fiberals are never going to go for a referendum, socialists are just not that fond of democracy. As for the word "marriage" we need a term to define all legal relationships where two persons are involved. As I watch the younger generation, I fear our efforts are in vain, they change their definitions faster and faster, us old folks better not think what laws we write is in anything more than ice cream, cause this new generation will change things the way they want pretty quick.... I recall when my Nieces found out I hung around in Yorkville in my decadent youth, they looked at me like they expected me to wander about in a cloud of Incense and Jefferson Airplane music..... Imagine their children (your grand or great grand) trying to figure out what this debate was all about. This like many things will change, and then be forgotten.....
