I don't believe Newsweek thought this would be incendiary, since the Quoran flushing had been alleged by human rights organizations, referred to in a book and was the subject of an investigation. Don't forget it took eleven days for the reaction, after it was translated into Arabic! The Pentagon and Centcom did not react at all during that period.

But if a news organization did believe a story would be incendiary, what is your opinion on how they should handle it?
