VOTE BY MAIL in 2006!!! Get your state to implement this NOW. It makes zero difference in anything unless voters can have their votes registered and counted. Republicans don't want people to vote since there are more Dems than Reps. Vote by mail encourages much higher turnout since it is so much easier. It also kicks Diebold and ES&S out of the individual voter machine biz although not out of the central counting biz. However, THE MORE VOTERS VOTE, the more Republicans lose. It's a state-by-state thing so you have to demand you get this convenience. Even better, encourage everyone to vote absentee. This voting day biz is a cute idea whose time has long since gone away.
