lorne, normally when I hear some detractor refer to Canada as a banana republic I get upset... unfortunately now I'm beginning to see why that can be believed... As to not ready for Prime time... I'd say 2 things.. 1) he pushed too hard for the vote knowing the poll results. 2) he should have better control over mps/candidates stating policy.. One might also say he was naive wrt to Stronach... I believe Harper is an honest guy and what you see is what you get (maybe that is lack of experience LOL :o) but seriously in the political world you must as in the stock world learn to think like a criminal.. doesn't mean be one... but understand the mentality ... probably especially pertinent to the current situation... Did you hear the media laughing at Martin when he said Stronach's defection had nothing to do with the upcoming vote... and I will reiterate... I cannot believe how folks accept Stronach's blatant duplicitous behaviour... and call it courageous... folks just wanna believe what they wanna believe... Go Paris... regards K
