Bob, The bigger companies like AMAT move more slowly than the smaller "niche" players, but I think you know by looking at the weekly postings of the Group, the semi-equips tend to move "up and down" together.

While some of the smaller stocks may move faster than others(note how LTXX has been performing lately), this is because their sub-sector may be doing better or worse than the "average. For illustration of this, I just posted the CSFB report tonight on the expected SEMI report coming out this Thursday.

This is good news for the test and assembly companies within the Group. From that point of view, this is a "stockpickers" market, but over the slightly longer term, the Group tends to rise and fall together.
