Insecure nuclear weapons whether there is only 1 or 3500 of them, are both dangerous situations of course. While destroying nuclear weapons is a noble cause, its an unrealistic goal given there is a constant influx of evil people in the world, many with a bent toward suicide and killing anybody and everybody indiscriminately. While not touched on yet, I don't believe the UN to be the answer. If the UN controlled all nuclear weapons in the world, guess what, every self-tutorial tyrrant and dictator will be attempting to attain a high powered position at the UN. The UN itself will then be nuclear blackmailing nation states into submission.
