re: Longer. Could be, what was it, 10 years? The hard thing for the politicians is to admit a mistake, the hardest thing is to admit failure. Both the Dems and Reps will protect their political butts becuase they are afraid "not to support the troops". But what they are doing is supporting the death of the troops, every day, for their own politician job security. It's so damn familiar. Iraq is getting worse. It's going to continue to get worse until our country can't stand it anymore. In the meantime a whole bunch of idealistic kids will die every week. Then, eventually, we will bring home those that are left, and the politicians will tell us how they were against the war from the start, or how we could have won it if we had just "committed" to winning. How can we be so stupid? How can we not care? Longer? My God I pray not. John
