Bushies depend on censorship of the truth to hang onto their power. They used 9-11 brilliantly as an excuse to crack down on investigation and criticism. But now, unless they start cracking down on free speeech they're going to get exposed. This may be why they chose to go after, and maybe even deliberately sabotage, Newsweek, CBS and who's next? One thing we know, they will never attack the WST, Washington Times or Fox News. No matter what those Republican news outlets say. Telling evidence, General Myers first reaction to the Afghan riots was to say in public that newsweek's article had nothing to do with them. Ah ha. So this is a deliberate sabotage of Newsweek which is known for its aggressive investigative journalism and moderate politics.
