If that story is true, then the police fabricated evidence to
make it look like the bombings were done by Islamofascists.
Spain's Prime Minister Jose Aznar said that they thought that
responsibility for the bombings was the Basque separatists
based on evidence they had.

The Socialist party & the media (yes they are liberal in
Spain too) pummeled Aznar. They claimed he was lying &
covering up by claiming it was the Basque separatists. The
Socialists & media also played one everyone's fears that
Spain was now a target of Al Qaeda due to Anzar's support of
the WOT.

Aznar was pro Bush, supported us in the WOT & had troops
in Iraq.

The Socialists were anti-war, anti-Bush, promised to pull
Spain's troops out of Iraq & they were pro appeasement
of Al Qaeda.

The Madrid bombings happened just 3 days before Spain's
elections.

Prior to the Bombings, Aznar was ahead in the polls & looked
to be on his way to victory. This & other recent evidence
seems to appear that the Basque separatists were involved in
the Madrid bombings in conjunction with Islamofascists.

Again, if this story is true, the police & the Socialists
were the liars who fabricated evidence & used it to sway
public opinion to win/steal the elections.
