You have to have charting that can calculate moving averages of the volume, and you have to be able to adjust these moving averages to suit the time frame in question.

The only sources I am aware of for this kind of thing are proprietary.

I would be happy to tell you where I get that information if you PM me. I would post it, but I am not sure it is appropriate to post it on the open thread since they are a commercial outfit and I pay for the info.

I'll look for some obvious examples on AskResearch or Stockcharts, but generally this has to be fairly dramatic to be able to see it on these types of charts.
