It seems to me that the abuses at abu Graib and Gitmo, and in Afghanistan undermine your theory that education breeds understanding. That's because you are applying the limited actions of the few to be representative of the many. An exception to a rule does not make the rule generally inaccurate, it just means it is not always accurate. A few? Maybe. In any case, they are the few who have been chosen to represent us in those situations. Where is the understanding of the leaders who make such choices........presumably they should be more sophisticated. No?
