Re: Along the lines of Mailer's speculation, this also provides justification for an "informal censorship" of news about Iraq, War on Terror, etc. I am mystified as to how you could come to that sort of anti-democratic conclusion. Censorship is primarily a tool of totalitarianism and police states. Surely that is not what you think would be best, eh? :) I'd greatly prefer the "sunshine is the best disinfectant" route. And we need a hell of a lot of disinfecting around Washington today. We have an impeachable criminal living in the White House, surrounded by an entire mafia of thugs. And you think we need to let these bastards keep secrets from you and me? That's an invitation to national disaster and/or suicide.
