NEW YORK, May 18 (newratings.com) - Analysts at First Albany maintain their "neutral" rating on Applied Materials Inc (AMAT.NAS), while reducing their estimates for the company.

In a research note published this morning, the analysts mention that the company posted its 2Q EPS marginally ahead of the estimates. Applied Materials posted its bookings for the quarter at $1.55 billion, which was in-line with the estimates, the analysts say. The EPS estimates for FY05 and FY06 have been reduced from $0.70 to $0.62 and from $0.92 to $0.83, respectively.
