Actually, the younger generation gets something like 90% of its 'news' from the late night talk fest. What I don't understand is how the vast American public fails to see the direct connection between Republicans in power and the way their lives are going. After all, the majority say the country is headed in the wrong direction. Why, then, can't they figure out for themselves that the people in charge are leading the country in the wrong direction? Why do they fail over and over again to make that obvious connection and then do something about it? IMO, only a general draft (not just a specific specialist draft which Rummy has up his sleeve) will wake Americans out of their stupor. A draft will make it clear that Iraq has spun out of control and the administration has no idea how to reel it back in.
