Report: Muslim World Largely Anti-American By KAREN MATTHEWS, Associated Press Writer Wed May 18, 7:28 PM ET NEW YORK - Anti-American feelings are widespread in the Muslim world and extend to U.S. consumer brands, according to a report released Wednesday. It suggested the U.S. burnish its image with a change in tone and by publicizing aid programs. The United States should emphasize its development aid to Muslim countries rather than try to persuade Muslims to support U.S. policies in Iraq or in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, according to the Council on Foreign Relations report. Last week, I saw this video done by the insurgents. It featured some dead Americans lying on the ground. All the while they panned on these dead Americans there was some ME music playing in the background. That music always hits me as eerie.....and in that moment, I realized the scope of the pandora's box we have opened and that we have good reason to be very afraid. If I had not lived through it, I would not have believed that the US was this capable of such folly.
