Scott, Watergate was in 1974. Katharine Graham at that time was a rather naive widow who didn't understand why her husband was eliminated. By 1988, when she spoke the disgusting words I quoted to you, she'd been completely transformed into an elitist bitch. It really would behoove you to learn something about history. And to stop being such a pollyannish boy scout about American history. There are two people in history who firmly and adamantly believed and said that history is bunk. Henry Ford was the first, and the quote stuck to him. Just as the Ford reputation as a Hitler supporter has over the decades. The new Hitler supporter who would tell you that history is bunk is George Bush. This anti-Christ, anti-American asshole is willing to tell the white trash that adore him almost anything. And, to their shame, the white trash of America are prejudiced enough, ignorant enough and arrogant enough to accept the lies of George Bush as the new Gospel truths of their sick little lives.

The funny thing about the Newsweek Koran story is that the reporter is a right wing nut job. Since the truth about American jailers desecrating the Koran has been reported many times in the past, he just assumed it was old news and everybody knew about it and approved of it. He forgot just how hypocritical his own party can be. Most of the nut jobs I talk to have two points to make about the desecration: 1. We have another excuse to destroy freedom of the press. 2. So what if it's true? Do we really care?
