Of course these decisions must be left to the people of Afghanistan. I pray that the women come out better than they have in the past, and that they actually have a say in the matter. Something they've been denied forever. Wouldn't you agree? And if they don't.......what then? I say we strongly encourage the inclusion of all Afghan citizens. That we condemn exclusion of women and act upon that condemnation with sanctions if necessary.

Would you not prefer to leave that decision to the Afghan population , who would be voters in their democratic system ?

This sentiment was also used to defend apartheid.
