What was Sharon's purpose? Political grandstanding. Plain and simple. He didn't talk about how Arabs should be driven out. He spoke of Israeli sovreignty. Not that anybody has cared what he said, just that he, an Israeli dared to go up to the Temple Mount to say it.

I'm not into the kind of reasoning that says, so the Muslims routinely teach & say that Jews are all thieves, scum, sons of apes and pigs, a cancer among mankind, but that's just how they talk, you know.

Meanwhile, we have to tiptoe around those ever so sensive Muslim sensibilities. Any little thing sets'em off, you know. A beauty contest here, a pol making a speech outside a mosque there, a rumor that somebody somewhere mistreated a Koran over there. They're so sensitive, gotta be careful.

Add up your message, and that's what I take from it. I'm not buying.
