Breaking news>>Senators Ponder Nuclear Option; John Bolton Given Norelco Option>
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As Republican senators weighed the "nuclear option" of ending the Democrats' filibuster process, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee gave embattled U.N. ambassador-nominee John Bolton the "Norelco Option" of "shave and you're in," sources said yesterday.
Bolton's fiery personality and bushy moustache are considered "two major strikes" against his chances of becoming the next U.S. ambassador to the United Nations.

Foreign Relations Committee members realize "there's nothing we can do" about his "wanton abuse of subordinates." Senator Joe Biden (D-Del) has proposed the "Norelco option" for Bolton's consideration.

"Shave that monster of a moustache and we'll confirm your nomination," Biden reportedly said. This is believed to be the first time a U.S. government official has been "urged to trim unruly facial hair" since Janet Reno was exhorted to do so in 1995.

Bolton's confirmation hearing has revealed "scandalous" conduct of the moustache. In one instance about eight years ago, Bolton "seized a subordinate's car keys, placed them in his moustache," and proceeded to "watch with glee" as the subordinate frantically searched to no avail.

The Norelco option, officials said, would "prevent such atrocities from ever happening again."

Bolton has said off-record he "prefers Schick over Norelco" and would "consider Bic" if committee members would accommodate.

"For the love of God, just shave that thing," one anonymous official said after learning of the Bic Compromise.

Now that is some great humor....
