We are calling folks like Isakoff, Feinman and Brooks all sorts of vial names while folks like dean are ranting and raving on the other side. We have dumb as a stump hannity getting great ratings on fox and we have kerry in a stupor thinking he won the election. With the exception of the sunday show and a few good journalists we have fox news touted while the pretty boys and girls at cnn show shock at the behavior of bush & co for doing things not particularly shocking. OY. What is a moderate to do? What is someone who considers himself progressive and who is willing to cherry pick the best ideas from right and left to do in an environement when all the ideas seem old, stale or bad. Will the dem center steal the party back from dean? Can McCain Giuliani somehow get traction inside the republican party? Or are we looking toward a third party to rise up to cherry pick mods and progressives who wont be able to support either party next time?
