The biggest show of sympathy and support for America after the 9-11 attacks, was the candle-light vigil held in Tehran.

Some things to think about.

-America gets attacked, and we willingly give up some of our rights with the Patriot Act. Clearly a repressive move.

-America complains about Iran's government cracking down on rights, but aren't they doing what we did after being attacked?

-America, the most powerful nation on Earth has not only called Iran evil, but also has them surrounded. What would you do in their situation? If Canada was replaced by the old Soviet Union, and Mexico was replaced with the old People's Republic of China, how paranoid do you think the AMerican government would be?

IMO, peaceful overtures toward Iran would have yielded positive results. Instead, I think we caused them to do the things we were trying to prevent.

You have to wonder if anyone looked at a map before the start of the Iraq war.
