No
not a trekkie

And I can't say I've ever known people who were in to any fantasy role playing things- except for teenagers. The adults I know are just adults with jobs who have pretty "normal" interests, like antiques, wine, fine dining, art, travel, etc. I found the discussion on the internet interesting precisely because I know nothing about people who role play, or have a deep interest in fantasy. I can't even say I like fantasy literature very much.

<<or work at Renaissance faires>>

They had one 2 miles down the road last year and kept their horses in our barn. They gave use some period gingerbread cookies from a recipe from days of olde. Back then they didn't use honey or sugar but instead used pepper. One bite and I knew why they spent so much time killing each other back then.
