The answer is really quite simple. Bush is merely pretending to be a dyslexic dufus. This is what has charmed Joe Six Pack who overwhelmingly votes to have a beer with Bush rather than the effete candidates the Dems toss up from time to time. The "moron" thing is just an act. Bush is well aware of how voters think and make decisions. This isn't rocket science. In fact the method by which Bush got elected was described quite prophetically in 1920: "The larger the mob, the harder the test.
