Who said there is no Soviet Union? It still exists but it went through a downsizing and a name change.

Russia isn't the Soviet Union. But lets say for the sake of argument that it is. Do you really think the US is going to lose a huge chunk of territory soon, and have its system of government changed around in a major way, and have its name changed in the next decade or two?

Any person, corporation or nation that fields a large deficit and is carrying a serious debt load runs the risk of getting into trouble.

Yes we run a deficit and carry a lot of debt. I'd be happier if both or lower but if our debt level is going to cause the end of the US than I guess Japan and much of Europe is also a goner. You need to get a sense of perspective.

Morale is low but its not as low as the Soviets.

Its not low.

That's true but I don't think that was the factor that brought the Soviets down.

It was a major factor in Afghanistan.

Who's relying on my gut?

You are.

We have two years of experience.

None of which provides solid support to your conclusions.
