These days, assault rifles and other military weapons are for warfare only. Oh really? You think a .223 or .308 round won't kill a deer. Lots of people hunt with these rounds from SKSs, AR-15s. The AK-47 semi version fires a 5.6x39mm round...another good round for deer hunting. Any round big enough to hunt humans is certainly good for deer hunting.

The amendment is clear that weapons are limited those that can be carried and that are firearms...this excludes nonsense like tanks.

why not leftwing militias or black gang militias? Town, municipality or county or State leaders are suppossed to form the militia. Not the Federal Govt, who form and own the National Guard. The National Guard is not a local militia.

Show me where it says deer hunting or hunting in the 2nd Amendment. The Amendment says militia weapons. The Federalist papers says this includes those militia weapons commonly use at the modern time. What does the Army, Air Force, Navy and Marines carry? Thats right M-16s. Thats what the militia should have and the Constitution and its legislative history is clear on this. The M-16 is a militia weapon and is what is need to ensure the efficiency of such a militia if called up by the locality, county township or state.
