I am not a radical at all, I believe that the absolute best thing that could happen to Steve Harper was to lose this vote. He needs a speaking coach, a coach to teach him how to get mad on cue, and several advisers to tell him which cards to play and when. Losing Belinda is a dreadful loss. Losing her connections and in particular her Father's connections so he could tell her off is really really stupid..... But that is done, he should publicly tell Peter to date her if he wants, just keep policy to himself. Then he should apologise publicly to her for any aspersions made by any Conservatives about her character, and assure her that her presence in the Conservative Caucus will be missed.
